AG35 Pre-Oxidized PAN Fiber Aerogel Sheets<\/strong> are high-performance thermal insulation materials produced by bonding aerogel to a pre-oxidized PAN fiber mat substrate using a sol-gel process and supercritical extraction to remove organic solvents. This process results in an ultra-thin, highly efficient insulating material that is heat-resistant, flexible, and offers excellent tensile strength.<\/p>

Pre-oxidized PAN fiber is derived from polyacrylonitrile (PAN) and has a maximum long-term operating temperature of 350\u00b0C. It demonstrates excellent thermal stability in high-temperature environments. In addition, it has strong resistance to acid and alkali corrosion, making it highly durable in harsh conditions. It also serves as an excellent electrical insulator.<\/p>

While pure aerogel is inherently brittle, the combination with pre-oxidized PAN fiber mat enhances the material\u2019s structural strength.       Anchor Aerogel produces AG35 by bonding aerogel to pre-oxidized PAN fiber mat through sol-gel processing and supercritical extraction, yielding ultra-thin sheets for thermal and fire barriers. Our work with electronics, battery, and protective-equipment customers is drawing-driven: we supply standard 1480 mm wide sheets as well as precisely cut parts matched to component geometry, with samples available for qualification and safety testing. Published values on this page reflect our standard product; cutting tolerances, packaging formats, and any additional test data are confirmed in the current TDS or part specification before production supply.<\/p>

      Engineering Boundaries & Custom Options<\/h3>

      Standard AG35 covers 0.5-4 mm thicknesses at 1480 mm width and 220 kg\/m3 density, with customized thickness and precise die-cutting available. Performance is bounded by the 350\u00b0C long-term temperature limit of the PAN-based fiber and a -50\u00b0C lower bound; conductivity at 25\u00b0C is 0.018-0.023 W\/(m\u00b7K). The material is electrically insulating, asbestos-free, 98% water resistant, and resistant to most acids and alkalis.
