Product Description
The AGF-API aerogel film is composed of a 25-50 μm thick polyimide (PI) film substrate laminated with an aerogel coating, available in standard thicknesses of 100-300 μm. Designed for high-temperature applications, the PI film withstands continuous temperatures up to 220°C, enabling stable operation from -20°C to 220°C—far exceeding typical polymer substrates. The PI film offers excellent tensile strength, tear resistance, and strong acid and alkali corrosion resistance, making it ideal for harsh environment insulation.
The aerogel coating is tightly bonded to the PI film through advanced processing, ensuring no delamination or powder loss under prolonged high temperatures. With a low dielectric constant of 3.5 (at 1 MHz), this film provides both insulation and thermal barrier functions. It is suitable for use as high-temperature insulation in motor windings and high-voltage cable joints. Its precision processing capabilities, including laser cutting and molding, allow adaptation to complex geometries to meet demanding insulation component requirements.
