Product Overview

Aerogel film is an ultra-thin, high-performance thermal insulation material made by uniformly coating aerogel slurry onto substrates such as PET film, PI film, copper foil, or aluminum foil. Depending on application requirements, double-sided adhesive and release liner layers can be optionally added during production, resulting in a variety of structural configurations.

Structurally, different base films not only enhance the mechanical strength of the aerogel film but also provide additional functionality. For example, PET-based aerogel films offer excellent flexibility, making them ideal for bonding to curved or irregular surfaces. Copper or aluminum foil bases add electromagnetic shielding capabilities in addition to thermal insulation.

With its unique material properties, aerogel film offers outstanding thermal resistance. Thickness can be as low as 50 μm, and thermal conductivity can reach as low as 0.02 W/(m·K)—far outperforming conventional insulation materials in efficiency.

Aerogel film is particularly well-suited for applications where space is limited and heat management is critical, such as in digital devices, household appliances, and e-cigarettes. In smartphones, it helps block heat transfer from processors, improving user comfort. In appliances, it protects sensitive components from high temperatures, extending product life. In e-cigarettes, it prevents burns and enhances user safety. This lightweight and highly effective insulation solution opens up new possibilities for thermal design in modern precision electronics.
