AGF-AP PET Aerogel Insulation Film | Ultra-Thin | Anchor-Tech
AGF-AP PET Aerogel Insulation Film | Ultra-Thin | Anchor-Tech

Product Description

AGF-AP Aerogel Insulation Film combines an ultra-thin 1.9 μm PET substrate with a nanodispersed aerogel coating, offering lightweight and highly efficient thermal insulation with thickness options as low as 100 μm. The aerogel layer forms a continuous, dense thermal barrier with a smooth, soft surface that is dust-free and odorless, ensuring excellent environmental safety.

With a thermal conductivity as low as 0.022–0.026 W/(m·K), AGF-AP outperforms conventional insulation materials, effectively blocking heat transfer in confined spaces while providing electrical insulation. It is ideal for precise thermal management in sensitive electronics such as smartphones, smartwatches, tablets, LED backlights, TVs, and battery modules.

The release liner design allows easy peeling during installation without leaving residue, improving application efficiency and material usage. AGF-AP’s combination of thinness, superior insulation, precise cuttability, and ease of installation makes it especially suited for wearable devices, foldable phones, and other flexible electronics. It is the next-generation solution for thermal control in ultra-thin spaces.

Manufacturer & Engineering Notes

Manufacturing & Project Experience

Anchor Aerogel coats the aerogel layer onto the 1.9 μm PET substrate on its own precision coating lines and controls converting in-house, supplying AGF-AP in roll form with customizable width and length. We support overseas electronics programs from specification review and sampling through repeat production, and our engineers can advise on gauge selection within the 70-300 μm range based on your gap and thermal target. Die-cut or roll samples are available for line trials, and shipments are prepared with export packaging. Current technical documentation, including the TDS, can be provided to support your supplier qualification and incoming inspection process.

Engineering Boundaries & Custom Options

AGF-AP is the base PET-substrate construction of the series: no release liner and no adhesive, so your assembly provides the fixing method and surface protection. Standard gauges are 100, 200, and 300 μm, customizable from 70 to 300 μm; the quoted thermal conductivity refers to the aerogel layer only, so compute overall thermal resistance from total build thickness. Continuous operating temperature is -20 to 120°C, within a -40 to 130°C resistance range. Electrical ratings are typical values, and no UL94 classification is published - confirm the current TDS and run application-level tests for safety-relevant positions.

Frequently Asked Questions about AGF-AP Ultra-Thin PET Aerogel Film

Technical answers for overseas buyers, engineers, and project specifiers. For project-critical values, request the current TDS before final design.

AGF-AP combines an ultra-thin 1.9 μm PET substrate with a nano-dispersed aerogel coating. The aerogel layer forms a continuous, dense thermal barrier with a smooth, soft surface that is dust-free and odorless. Standard thicknesses are 100±10, 200±20, and 300±20 μm, with a customizable range of 70-300 μm, giving designers a thin insulation option for space-constrained stack-ups. The aerogel layer’s thermal conductivity is 0.022-0.026 W/(m·K), well below conventional polymer or foam insulators of similar thickness, so meaningful thermal resistance can be added without consuming the limited gap available inside compact devices.

AGF-AP targets precise thermal management in sensitive electronics: smartphones, smartwatches, tablets, LED backlights, TVs, and battery modules are named by the manufacturer, together with wearable devices, laptops, OLED displays, smart TVs, digital cameras, and broader consumer electronics. It blocks heat transfer in confined spaces while also providing electrical insulation between heat sources and adjacent parts. Its combination of thinness, cuttability, and PET-reinforced tear resistance makes it especially suitable for wearable devices, foldable phones, and other flexible electronics where insulation must follow curved surfaces without cracking or adding measurable bulk to the assembly.

Per the published specification table, AGF-AP has a temperature resistance range of -40 to 130°C and a continuous operating temperature of -20 to 120°C. Dielectric strength is rated at ≥4 kV/mm and volume resistivity at ≥1.0×10¹³ Ω·cm, so the film contributes both thermal and electrical insulation in one thin layer. These figures are typical published values rather than lot-guaranteed minimums; where insulation performance is safety-relevant, confirm the current TDS and validate on the final stack-up. No UL94 flame rating is published for this model, so any formal flammability requirement should be discussed with the factory during technical review.

Yes. AGF-AP is supplied in rolls with customizable size, and thickness can be tailored between 70 and 300 μm in addition to the three standard gauges. The film is described as easy to cut and fit, and the PET substrate adds toughness for converting, so it is well suited to die-cut parts, strips, and sheets matched to component outlines. Buyers can share drawings or CAD files so the factory can confirm achievable tolerances and propose roll widths or pre-cut formats that drop directly into the assembly process. Evaluation samples can be arranged ahead of production commitments.

AGF-AP is not self-adhesive; it is positioned within the assembly and fixed by the designer’s chosen method after removal of any protective liner. Cut the film to shape, place it against the heat source or sensitive component, and secure it with the enclosure, adhesive tape, or other means appropriate to your stack-up. Store rolls in a dry, room-temperature environment; the published shelf life is three years. The PET substrate gives the film moisture and aging resistance for long-term stability, but keeping rolls sealed and clean until use preserves the dust-free aerogel surface required for sealed electronic devices.
